We at G. B. POWER LIFE SAVERS LTD believe that children can save lives!

WE BELIEVE CHILDREN CAN SAVE LIVES!

Since 2013, G. B. POWER LIFE SAVERS LTD specializes in First Aid and advance First Aid training, Automatic External Defibrillator training, as well as pool and beach Lifeguard training.

The idea for the creation of the “little Power” came after we noticed that in Cyprus there was no organized and comprehensive educational program / First Aid seminar for primary school children.

With the help of God, and after 2 ½ years, we managed to complete the book and the program of First Aid and Defibrillation for children and thus be ready to offer this education to all children in Cyprus.

The instructors of G. B. POWER LIFE SAVERS LTD are all practicing Health Professionals (Nurses, Paramedics) and all hold a Level 5 Instructor Diploma from the Human Resources Development Authority. Some of them also hold Masters and PhDs in Health.

WHAT WE OFFER

Within 100 minutes of training and the direct participation of the trainers, the training takes place in a climate of play where the child more easily assimilates knowledge and skills in the subjects of First Aid. In each educational session the child comes in contact with new knowledge concerning the human body and First Aid. Thus the child discovers new things, learns basic functions of the human body, how to respond and act correctly to some of the unpleasant situations that the human body may undergone, and within (the child) it develops respect for his fellow man and self-confidence. that it can and it is capable of saving a life one day!

OUR GOAL

Our goal is that all children to get in touch with First Aid and the operation of the A.E.A. (automatic external defibrillator), to know the basic functions of the human body, to learn to recognize potential dangers at the scene, and to know the steps, which are always followed by every first responder, which can save lives!

Inside the little Power’s book, the basic principles of recognizing and dealing with some of the emergencies that can be found by one of our fellow human beings are contained. This book is like a wonderful fairy tale with simple language, with colorful images through which our hero, little Power, in a fun way transmits to children knowledge and ways to help someone in danger. Children will be able to study, alone or with their guardians, issues of First Aid and how to deal with those.

In the last pages of the book there are some beautiful stickers and a diploma that certifies the successful attendance of the educational program “Little Power®” where the child or his guardian can fill in the child’s name.

WHAT WE DO

Through the special design of the educational program “The little Power – First Aid and Defibrillation for Children of 4th, 5th and 6th grade” the child will have the opportunity to interact with the materials of education (manikins, defibrillators, bandages, etc.), the instructor, but also with the other children of its team so that at the end of the training it will be able to recognize an emergency situation, to activate medical resources of state aid (Ambulance Service) and be capable to apply the basic techniques of resuscitation or stabilization of the patient who is ill or injured.

As health professionals, our primary goal is to build a solid foundation in child temperament and psychology because beyond knowledge, above all, it is the confidence we build in children, showing them that we believe in them and what they can offer in general in society.

The book, offered to every child, but it can be read by all young and old, and understood by all since a simple English language is used. With its rich iconography and its various colors, it maintains an undiminished interest in study. The algorithms (steps) and techniques described in the book always follow the criteria and techniques indicated by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) which are updated every five years or so.
